Contact QR Code Generator
One scan and your whole card is in their phone — name, number, email, website.
Include the country code so it dials from abroad.
https:// is added for you.
Contact photo
A photo is far too large to fit inside a QR code, so it travels in the downloadable card file instead. Scanning the code saves every other field; opening the .vcf file saves the photo too.
A link is short enough for the QR. Some phones fetch it when saving the contact; others ignore it.
Error correction
The usual choice for a printed business card.
Card uses 252 of 2331 bytes at M.
About this tool
Fill in your details and get a QR code that saves as a contact. Pointing a phone camera at it brings up the card with an Add to Contacts button, with the name, company, job title, phone, email, website and address already filled in. A contact photo is too large for any QR code, so it goes in the downloadable .vcf file instead, which imports into Contacts on both phones and on desktop mail apps. The code is read back and checked before you download it. Everything runs in your browser — no details and no photo are uploaded.
The code holds a vCard 3.0 card, which is what iPhone and Android both read without an app. Pointing a camera at it brings up the contact with an Add to Contacts button, and every field you filled in is already there.
A photo is the one thing that cannot ride along. A compressed contact photo runs to tens of thousands of bytes and a QR code holds at most a few thousand, so a code carrying a picture would be unscannable. Download the .vcf file for that: it has the same details plus the embedded photo, and it imports into Contacts on both phones and on desktop mail apps. Send it by email or chat, or drop it on your own phone once and share it from there.
For a printed card, generate at Quartile or High error correction and print the code at least 3cm wide. Longer cards make denser codes, so the byte counter under the form is worth a glance before anything goes to a printer.
