Notion AI alternatives

Notion AI is strong, but it isn't right for everyone. Here is when another tool is the better choice — honestly.

WritingFreemium

General-purpose AI assistant for writing, analysis and everyday tasks.

Choose it when: You want a stronger model and do not need it inside your notes.
Main advantage: Markedly more capable, and it is not tied to one workspace.
Main limitation: No access to your own documents unless you paste them in.
Pricing difference: $20/mo against Notion AI's $10/user/mo add-on.

ProductivityPaid

AI layer inside a project management platform.

Choose it when: Your team runs on tasks and projects more than on documents.
Main advantage: AI aimed at project work — summaries, updates, task generation.
Main limitation: Documents are weaker than Notion's.
Pricing difference: $7/user/mo add-on against Notion AI's $10/user/mo.
